Waterlox Original Formula 

Bring out the natural beauty in your wood cabinets, flooring and furniture with Waterlox Original Sealer and Finishes.  The resin-modified Tung Oil locks out water by deeply penetrating the wood.  Waterlox finishes and sealers are available in Satin, Medium and Gloss Sheens.  

Always seal your wood first with Waterlox Sealer before using a Waterlox Finish.

Product Details 

• Waterlox traditional formulation is product number TB 5284.
• Produces a medium sheen appearance (75° gloss level when finished; fades to a 50-55° gloss level in 3-6 months).
• Waterlox's oldest and truly “original" product, since 1910.
• Like all of Waterlox Tung oil finishes, 90% of the resin portion of the formula is from renewable, natural resources.
• Waterlox's most versatile product. Many customers use only this product for all coats of finish.
• Formulated as a traditional interior penetrating Tung oil finish.
• Forms a protective yet elastic finish against common household spills, moisture and foot traffic.
• Penetrates and waterproofs when used as a finishing system in multiple coats on it"s own or in conjunction with Waterlox.
• Original Satin Finish or Waterlox Original High Gloss Finish.
• Easier to maintain than other interior clear finishes or surface finishes.
• Our 350 VOC compliant formulation is product number TB 603.

Preserve the beauty and integrity of your outdoor and marine wood with Waterlox Marine finishes and sealers.  Waterlox Marine formula protects your wood with a protective and elastic finish that will protect your wood against the sun, harsh weather and water.  Waterlox Marine Formula is available in Satin and Gloss Sheens.

• Waterlox product number is TB 3809.
• Formulated as a traditional exterior penetrating Tung oil sealer/primer.
• Penetrates and waterproofs when used as the sealer/primer coat(s) in conjunction with Waterlox Original Marine Finish.
• Like all of our Waterlox Tung oil finishes, 90% of the resin portion of the formula is from renewable, natural resources.
• Exceptional adhesion to oily, dense, exotic woods like teak, rosewood and ipe.
• Coverage. One gallon covers 500 square feet per coat. One quart covers 125 square feet per coat. The number of coats depends upon the porosity of the wood. No thinning necessary.

Recommended for outdoor wood projects only.  For indoor projects use the Waterlox Original Formula.  

Waterlox Low VOC Compliant

Waterlox Original Tung Oil Finishes Are Now Available In A Low VOC Formula

Waterlox Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) finishes offer the benefit of lower emissions that can reduce indoor air quality and potentially reduces smog.  The Waterlox Low VOC finishes is a more environmentally friendly option that performs as well as the original formula.

Product Details

• Dry times remain the same as Waterlox Original, solids and dry film thickness are slightly increased over Waterlox Original.
• Film properties remain the same as Waterlox Original.
• Flexibility and impact resistance are the same as Waterlox Original.
• Film hardness is slightly higher or faster than Waterlox Original resulting in slightly better scuff resistance, which may be viewed as better durability.
• Flow, leveling, touch-up and absence of lap marks remain the same as Waterlox Original.
• The Satin Finish has no settling, and a more consistent and lower gloss level.
