Consult with customers on a wide variety of product and service needs, including:
- The use and application of a wide variety of woodworking tools and supplies
- The selection and installation of decorative millwork components such as base, door and window casing, crown moulding, corbels, etc.
- The characteristics and properties of various domestic and exotic hardwoods and hardwood plywoods
- The fabrication of custom wood components
- Regularly evaluating and making decisions regarding in-store stock item selection
- Assist in the setup of in-store displays
- Evaluate sales and inventory data to identify sales improvements and/or inventory reduction opportunities
- Assist in initiating product promotional activities and ensuring thorough execution of each promotion
- Completing work orders
- Coordinating will calls and/or deliveries
- Sourcing special orders
