Properties
The heartwood of bubinga is light red-brown and veined with pink or red stripes. The sapwood is paler. It is very hard and heavy with a fine texture, wavy grain and high luster. Bubinga is also highly resistant to termites.

Workability
Bubinga can be sawed easily and take a nice finish

Uses
Bubinga is most often used as a veneer for decorative applications but you can also find it used in up-scale furniture and turnery work.
