When you have a project that needs special custom trim or custom mouldings made from high quality lumber then Sears Trostel is the company to call.  Sears Trostel prides itself on being a truly custom millwork company focusing on mouldings, trim, paneling, flooring, stair components and solid wood countertops, all made from our kiln-dried hardwoods and softwoods.  Our mill has state-of-the-art machines run by highly trained and skilled employees that are proud to make quality hardwood products right here in Colorado. Our facility is designed to achieve +/- .005" tolerances, ensuring the best results and superior consistency. For custom profiles or discontinued styles, our craftsmen have the ability to draft custom moulding profiles and then grind custom knives to match the designed template.  We have made thousands of knives since 1929 and proudly maintain a moulding library of over 7,000 different profiles.  Come to us with your needs and our facility can produce custom pieces from large 12" wide mouldings to wide plank countertops glued up to span oversized dimensions.  

We operate top of the line machinery to achieve the highest quality hardwood custom millwork to meet our customer needs.  Below are just some of the top-notch machinery in our northern Colorado millwork facility:

• Weinig Powermat 1000 Moulder –  With computer-controlled setup, up to 9" wide capacity, and a 60 lineal feet per minute run capacity, this moulder allows us to produce high quality moulding at affordable prices.
• Weinig Hydromat 23 High Speed Moulder – Knives can be concentrically jointed to allow feed speed of over 90 lineal feet per minute, giving us the capability to quickly run large quantities of mouldings while still maintaining high quality and consistency.  
• Weinig Powermat 1500 Moulder – With computer-controlled setup and 12" wide capacity at 40 lineal feet per minute, large profiles run in one piece. This reduces on-site buildups and offers design flexibility that our competitors cannot.

Our millwork facility produces all of our trim and millwork pieces from natural wood right here in Fort Collins, Colorado.  We do not manufacture MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) products.  We can special-order MDF products, but our specialty is manufacturing hardwood into beautiful pieces that are natural, have no formaldehyde, and normally outlast MDF products by at least 4 times.
