Wood mouldings and interior trim are the detail that brings spaces together adding a style feature to the sharp corners where walls meet floors or ceilings. 

• Baseboard mouldings create a finished detail where the floor and walls meet to help create a warmer and inviting space. 
• Case moldings wrap around doors, windows and other architectural features to create prestige around doorways, walk-throughs and windows.   
• Crown mouldings finish off the above spaces by softening the sharp and square corners where the walls meet the ceiling. 
• Other mouldings such as chair rail, paneling and other mouldings add additional character and luxury by adding artistry in the form of wainscot, ceiling paneling and other features to really make a room stand out.

American Colonial

American Colonial refers to styles of architecture created during the 17th and 18th centuries. Colonial style homes tend to be symmetrical and stately. Moulding profiles reflect the classic orders of architecture and the hand-crafted production methods of the day. They were often built-up using several pieces, including curves, coves and ornamental details. When building or remodeling an American Colonial Home, consider using walnut, hemlock, hickory, mahogany, maple, alder, oak, cherry, pine and poplar.

Andersen

Andersen Mouldings are a classic design used across America for decades. These mouldings are popular for its simple but classic look and wide range of sizes. Andersen Mouldings are a true American classic design that can make any home feel welcoming by adding warmth and character to your living areas.

Arts & Crafts

Arts & Crafts style homes feature interiors with simple open floor plans often featuring low walls of paneling and stylized built-in cabinetry. The mouldings are thick and heavy, with square lines and rounded edges. Influences of colonial style architecture are seen in crown mouldings and header caps. When building or remodeling a home of this style, consider red oak, quarter-sawn white oak, alder and douglas fir. 

Aspen

Our Aspen Mouldings are part of our Mountain Moulding series that are in stock and available for immediate purchase. The Apsen Moulding line came from a similar design Sear Trostel milled for a large ski cabin near Apsen Colorado. We took this elegant design and modified it slightly to be affordable but still deliver the high quality custom moulding look that everyone wants.

Breckenridge

Our Breckenridge Mouldings are part of our in stock Mountain Moulding Series. The Breckenridge Moulding profile was first designed for a beautiful custom home near Breckenridge Colorado, this moulding profile is one our most popular profiles with interior designers because of its bold profile lines and soft rounded edges. The Breckenridge moulding profile will make any room or house stand out with a custom décor impression.

Contemporary

Contemporary homes feature interiors characterized by simplicity, subtle sophistication and clean lines that showcase the spaces. The mouldings typically have minimal ornamentation, simple angles and have greater proportion of wide flat trim pieces than molded trim. Contemporary interiors often use moulding profiles typical to other architectural periods but in simpler forms. When building or remodeling a home of this style, wood choices are endless. The wood tones can be either light, dark or painted but should be consistent throughout the home.

Rocky Mountain

Rocky Mountain architecture is inspired by the natural environment and features open floor plans, high ceilings, heavy timber detailing, extensive use of stonework and colors that are bold, yet complimentary. Classic forms are often introduced to add a touch of casual luxury known as Mountain Elegance. The mouldings are hearty and combine simple lines with ornate profiles. When building or remodeling a home of this style, consider using pine, fir, hickory, oak, hemlock, alder, cherry, walnut and poplar.

Telluride

The Telluride Moulding profile is part of our in stock Mountain Moulding Series. The Telluride Moulding line was initially designed and milled by Sears Trostel for a custom vacation home near Telluride Colorado. We have modified the original profile slightly and added this very popular design to our Mountain Series. The Telluride Moulding design will add a warmth and elegance to any room and provide a custom moulding look that can be enjoyed for years to come.

Tuscan

Tuscan architecture is inspired by the elements in nature and portrays the image of simple grandeur. Today's Tuscan interiors are open and airy and include sturdy materials that create a rustic, warm and enduring quality to the home. Nothing should look shiny and new. The mouldings are on a few of the decorative elements used in this style of architecture. Base and case mouldings have more flat than moulded surfaces. Crown mouldings are substantial and classical in form. When building or remodeling a home in this style, consider using oak, pine, fir and alder.

Victorian

Victorian Era homes reflected the zeal and grandeur of the Industrial Revolution. It is common to see architectural details from two or more Victorian styles in one home. The mouldings are large and built-up from several pieces and can be extremely intricate. Picture rails, wainscoting, chair rails and plate rails are common features. When building or remodeling a Victorian Era home, consider using walnut, pine, oak, alder and mahogany stained a dark color.
